Marcus Soemers joins AixCAPE
Starting Dec 1st, Marcus Soemers has joined the AixCAPE staff. He is an applied mathematician with a doctoral degree from RWTH Aachen university.
We are happy to announce that since Dec 1st AixCAPE has a new staff member!
Dr. Marcus Soemers is an applied mathematician who has recently finished his doctoral studies with Prof. Reusken at RWTH Aachen university on numerical methods for an anisotropic inverse heat conduction problem. Among others, he has worked in the collaborative research center (SFB 540) lead by Prof. Marquardt. Therefore, he already has insight in some of the CAPE research areas relevant to AixCAPE. Marcus will start working on the data analysis/Alanda project. We will contact the Alanda project partners separately with more detailed information. Anyway, we are looking forward to working together and together with you!
