Presentation about CAPE-OPEN at CO-LaN meeting
On this year's CO-LaN meeting in Cannes, Lars von Wedel presented on interoperability of .NET-based applications with the COM-based infrastructure of CAPE-OPEN.
In the presentation Dr. Lars von Wedel introduced the foundation of the .NET environment and explained various means how .NET applications can be made interoperable with existing CAPE-OPEN applications which are currently mostly COM-based.
As a working case study, the shortcut unit operation developed by AixCAPE (based on research results in the area of process synthesis at LPT, RWTH Aachen) was presented. CO-LaN members were interested to see, that CAPE-OPEN technology is applicable with newest software engineering technology.
