Work process modeling
The natural way to model a work process is to start with a coarse overview, and then to add the details you are interested in and that are required by the application you have in mind (e.g., process documentation, simulation, or automation). However, conventional modeling appraches and tools often
- force the user to focus on details while the general structure of a work process is not yet clear;
- come with a limited set of modeling elements and thus restrict the possible applications of the models;
- provide limited support for model checks, model export, and model import;
- can only be extended by programmers or software engineers.
Software
The Work Process Modeling System WOMS plus has been developed to address these issues and to support an intuitive and efficient modeling approach.
